The electric multiple units NÖVOG ET1 to ET9 are multiple units of the Niederösterreichischen Verkehrsorganisationsgesellschaft (NÖVOG) with a low-floor articulated construction. They were built from 2012 to 2013 by Stadler Rail for the Mariazellerbahn and are called "The Sky Staircase".
technical features
The trains are in three parts and the end cars are equipped with energy-absorbing front sections. The car bodies are made from extruded aluminum profiles. The intermediate car has two running bogies, the end cars, each with a drive frame, are attached to it. The bogies are air-sprung. The two pantographs sit on the middle car. The vehicles have multiple controls for three units.
The railcar is completely accessible and equipped with an air conditioning system. Each car has a two-part entrance door. One end car has a handicapped accessible toilet, the other end car has a multi-purpose compartment with twelve bicycle parking spaces or eleven folding seats. The seat division is 2 + 2, the seats have folding armrests. The seating is modular so that changes are possible. In summer, seating with 94 seats, 121 standing places and 27 bicycle parking spaces is also planned. There are also sockets. The cars have a passenger information system and a passenger compartment monitoring system with twelve cameras. The color scheme is gold with a gray window band.
commitment
The railcars can also carry additional cars. In particular, they have been running since June 2014 together with four panorama cars , also built by Stadler , which take up the first class. They are designed in the same design as the railcars. You have 36 seats with a seat division of 2 + 1. However, a passage is not possible.
