Národní strana was a right-wing extremist political party in the Czech Republic .

Today's Národní strana was founded in 2002. Although it referred to the historical Národní strana of the "Old Czechs" from 1848, it openly pursues nationalist goals. She rejected European integration and criticized the German-Czech reconciliation, as it was carried out, for example, by politicians like Václav Havel . It supported other nationalist parties such as the French Front national and the Flemish Vlaams Belang .
In the elections in the Czech Republic she could not achieve any successes worth mentioning. In the 2006 parliamentary elections , when she ran in all constituencies, she only got 0.17 percent of the vote.
The chairwoman, Petra Edelmannová , caught the headlines in May 2008 when she called for a “final solution to the Gypsy question”, which she used to describe the resettlement of Roma to India. The Národní strana owns a closely related paramilitary organization, the “National Guard”. In May 2009 for the European elections in 2009, the party again attracted attention with the same demand through a TV commercial.
Decline
After a membership decline in 2009, the chairwoman Petra Edelmannová withdrew from the party chairmanship on December 1, 2009. As a result, the party was finally dissolved by the Czech Supreme Court in 2013.
