Nélson Luís Kerchner , known as Nelsinho , (born December 31, 1962 in São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian soccer player .

Career

The defender Nelsinho began his career in 1981 at São Paulo FC , where he was under contract for ten years. He scored his only goal in 134 league games for São Paulo in 1986. His next stop was the club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro , where he played seven league games in the first year, 1990. For eleven league games he returned to São Paulo in 1992 and for a year he was under contract with the Corinthians São Paulo .

In 1993 he signed a contract with Kashiwa Reysol in Japan , where he played 86 league games and scored 16 goals in three years. He then ended his active career.

From 1987 to 1990 Nelsinho played 17 games for the Brazilian national soccer team and scored once in the goal. In 2004 he was a coach at AA Internacional (Limeira) for one season .
