Nëis

Nëis ( Gr . Νῆις) is a person from Greek mythology .

In the library of Apollodorus Nëis is the daughter of King Zethos of Thebes and Aedon and thus the sister of Itylos . It was assumed that one of the gates of Thebes was named after her. According to Hyginus , she was the wife of Endymion .

According to Pausanias , Nëis is a son of Zethos. The gate was named after him by Amphion , the brother of Zethos.
