It is contained in high proportions in AFFF - fire extinguishing foam agents of the products frequently used in Germany.
The chemical is a fluorinated surfactant that contains an amine oxide group . It is a derivative of 6: 2 fluorotelomersulfonic acid and belongs to the group of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds (PFAS).
