NA15 are a cross association from Eisenstadt consisting of Edi Mastalski, Alex Meller, Philipp Wimmer and Stefan Meller. The music is a mixture of metal and German-language hip-hop with lyrics that are partly socially critical.

Band history

NA15 (then: NULL.ACHT.15) was founded in 2001 in Eisenstadt by Philipp Wimmer and Stefan Meller. In June 2002 NA15 was voted the best newcomer band in Burgenland . In 2006 NA15 won the Burgenland band competition "America is Waiting" and took first place in the audience voting at the "Austrian Newcomer Award". In 2015 NA15 won the biggest Austrian band competition "Planet Festival Tour" with performances at Gasometer Vienna and at the Danube Island Festival .

In 2008 NA15 released their first studio album, Elevator Music, on the Viennese indie label Konkord. In the summer of the same year, the band took part in the sampler "Wos ned sei deaf." With a song, the proceeds of which will benefit victims of sexual abuse. In summer 2011 the second studio album NULL.ACHT.15 was released . The third studio album Gold Standard followed in 2016 .

In the fall of 2013 NA15 took them by the PULS4 - talent show Heart of Austria in part.

style

Different styles of music such as metal, rock, punk and funk can be found in the songs of NA15. The whole thing is combined with German rap. The arrangements are very groovy and straightforward, with parallels to the hardcore punk of the 1980s. The band describes their style as "rapcore".
