NAG Numerical Libraries
NAG Numerical Libraries is a comprehensive program library for numerical and statistical problems. The manufacturer is The Numerical Algorithms Group Ltd (NAG) from Oxford . The company was originally founded in 1971 as the Nottingham Algorithms Group . The software was developed in Fortran and Algol 68 .
Today NAG is available for the Fortran and C programming languages . Programmers also incorporate the NAG algorithms into other programming languages. Since numerical approximation methods are very dependent on the mathematical accuracy of the computer and the implemented compilers , there are NAG versions for the following operating systems : Windows , Linux (also and especially for the 64-bit variant), Solaris , macOS , AIX , HP- UX , IRIX and Tru64 UNIX .
