NIBES

NIBES (Network of International Business and Economic Schools) is a globally active network of universities with a focus on economics . It was founded with the aim of promoting the internationalization of the universities involved and promoting an understanding of global interrelationships within business and economic education. Cross-border and multilateral mobility of students and teachers as well as scientific exchange between the actors of the partner institutions are the main goals of the cooperation. In the last few decades, NIBES has created many joint academic programs at bachelor and master level (some as double or joint degrees).

NIBES was founded in May 1996 in Tours , France. The network now consists of 20 universities in 19 countries. The only German member is Pforzheim University .

Board

The General Secretary elected by the Annual Conference and the other board members manage and represent the network. The General Secretary's term of office is two years and can be re-elected once. The headquarters of the network is the university of the current Secretary General.

Since July 2019 Prof. Dr. Thomas Cleff General Secretary of the network. The other current board members are George Harada, Hiroshima University of Economics, Japan, Mariella Olivos Rossini, Universidad ESAN, Peru, Vesna Zabkar, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Jonathon Wood, Brigham Young University, USA, Søren Askegaard, Southern Denmark University, Denmark , Erica Cargill, Robert Gordon University, UK and Marc Lecoutre, ESC Clermont, France.
