NKM Noell Special Cranes is a European crane construction company .

history

The history goes back to the beginning of the 19th century. The company was founded at the beginning of 2002 as a European joint venture through the merger between NKM ( Nederlandse Kraanbouw Maatschappij ) and the historic Noell Sonderkranbau from Würzburg - from which Noell Mobile Systems also emerged . In this new company, the French Groupe REEL and the German Noell Crane Systems GmbH concentrated their special crane activities primarily on the aluminum industry , nuclear power plants , waste incineration plants , metallurgical plants and other special handling equipment.

ASMI (France), a subsidiary of Groupe REEL, which focuses on research and development for the aluminum industry, joined NKM Noell Special Cranes in 2003. In the same year, the aluminum business of Scharf Westfalia Systems (Germany) was acquired in order to expand the product range to include anode manufacturing and anode handling equipment. Groupe REEL has been the sole owner of NKM Noell Special Cranes since 2004.

In the 2013 financial year, the company achieved sales of around € 99.5 million.
