NK Pomorac Kostrena is a Croatian football club from the city of Kostrena .

history

Founded in 1921 as Športski Klub Jadran Kostrena , the club was only registered as such with the national football association in 1933. After being renamed several times, the association was given its current name in September 1946. It was not until its 50th anniversary in 1971 that the club received a club emblem, and in 1978 a grass pitch for the first time. After Croatia's independence, the club achieved their greatest successes: promotion to the second division in 1996 and the first division in 2001 . You could stay there for two years. Since 2003 the club has been playing in the 2nd HNL again .

Stadion

The Žuknica stadium can hold 3000 spectators. It only has one main grandstand, which consists mainly of standing room. Only the middle part of the grandstand is covered and has seats.

Pomorac is also one of the clubs that will definitely have to restructure and modernize in the next few years if they want to meet the new requirements of the Croatian Football Association for the second division. These requirements have been based on those of UEFA since 2006 .
