As Type 70 , also NSB BM70 , a type of electric railcars is Norges Statsbaner (NSB) respectively.
These are four-car units consisting of a BFM railcar, two B intermediate cars and an ABS control car .
operation area
The units will be used on the Lillehammer - ( Dovrebanen ) - Oslo - ( Drammenbanen ) - Drammen - ( Vestfoldbanen ) - Skien route and on the Oslo– ( Gjøvikbanen ) - Gjøvik route. In their first years of operation, they also operated as an Intercity Express between Oslo and Malmö
The units are equipped with Scharfenberg couplings and contact attachments at the ends of the cab . The multiple control enables up to three units of the types BM70 and BM 69 to be used coupled.
construction
A multiple unit consists of a BFM multiple unit, two B intermediate cars and an ABS control car.
The units can only be separated in the workshop due to the closed intercar connections.
BFM
The railcar has a large luggage compartment, a train attendant compartment and 28 second-class seats.
B.
The two intermediate cars have 80 second-class seats and a toilet. The seating is designed as row seating and can largely be adapted to the direction of travel.
SECTION
The control car is equipped with 28 first class seats. These have tables and sockets (220 V at 50 Hz) and a service area for the catering company. There is also a handicapped-accessible toilet and a second-class compartment with 16 seats and two wheelchair spaces.
