The Nautical Publication Verlagsgesellschaft (also known as NV. Verlag for short ), based in Eckernförde, is a German manufacturer of recreational navigation maps.
Recreational boating cards
The nautical charts offered are specifically designed to meet the needs of recreational shipping . Official data and our own measurements are used to create the maps. For use therein also comes GIS software. The MBS (monthly correction service) ensures that the maps are up to date.
In addition to paper maps, the data is also offered digitally in raster format so that it can be used on Windows PC and laptop on board with GPS devices for planning and as a chart plotter for navigation. Since 2008, NV.Verlag has been using nv.digital, its own data format for digital maps, which is now supported by many current navigation programs. Corresponding applications (Android or Apple-based) are also available for using the maps on Mac computers as well as smartphones and tablets. With the nv charts app, there is now also an in-house application for common mobile operating systems.
The sports boat maps in the combipack are updated annually and cover the following regions:
- Baltic Sea (West Sweden to the Gulf of Riga )
- North Sea German North Sea Coast, Norway ( Oslofjord to Haugesund )
- France Atlantic coast ( Dunkerque to San Sebastian )
- Caribbean ( Bahamas via Virgin Islands to Grenada )
- USA East Coast ( Florida to Maine )
- Mediterranean ( Balearic Islands - Ibiza to Menorca )
The inland sports boat tickets cover the area between the Elbe / Mittelland Canal and the Oder . There are also maps of the Göta Canal in Sweden . The inland maps are revised approximately every two to three years.
