The NXT UK Women's Championship is a women's wrestling title of the US promotion WWE , which is awarded exclusively to the women's division of the NXT UK rooster. The title was introduced on June 18, 2018 and is now one of the four women's titles defended in the WWE. The current title holder in her first reign is Kay Lee Ray. As is common in wrestling, the award is based on a previously determined storyline.

The NXT UK Women's Championship was announced at the United Kingdom Championship Tournament on June 18, 2018 . The championship belt was revealed during the NXT UK recording on August 25th. The design is almost identical to the NXT UK Championship . As with the NXT UK Championship , the center plate is modeled on the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom . The strap, as in the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship, is white and smaller than the men's. On August 26, 2018 Rhea Ripley was allowed to win the final of a tournament for the title against Toni Storm. This made her the first ever NXT UK Women's Champion .
