Mae Young Classic (2017-2018)

Bennett signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2017. She should take part in the first Mae Young Classic under the new ring name Rhea Ripley . In the first round she won against Miranda Ilissa ( Miranda Salinas ), but lost in the second round to Dakota Kai , who still appeared under the ring name Evie until mid-2017 .

Rhea Ripley made her NXT debut on NXT TakeOver: WarGames on October 25, 2017, when she took part in a battle royal for the qualification for the vacant NXT Women's Championship , which Nicola Glencross ( Nikki Cross ) won.

Ripley started the second Mae Young Classic 2018 in a new look and made it to the semi-finals. On the way she defeated Monique Jacqueline Williams-Jenkins ( MJ Jenkins ), Kacy Catanzaro and Steffanie Rhiannon Newell ( Tegan Nox ). In the semifinals, however, she lost to Odate Masami ( Io Shirai ). During the tournament, Ripley showed a new attitude: she refused to shake the opponent's hand before the match, appeared more aggressive and ruthless than last year and became increasingly unpopular.

First NXT UK Women's Champion (2018-2019)

Shortly after the 2018 Mae Young Classic , Rhea Ripley was inducted into the NXT UK roster for the new show NXT UK . During the TV recordings in August, which only aired in November, she took part in an eight-women tournament for the new NXT UK Women's Championship . She won in the first round against Xia Brookside , in the semifinals against Dakota Kai and won the final against Toni Storm . This made her the first woman to hold the NXT UK Women's Championship and also the first Australian to hold a WWE Women's Championship.

She made her debut in the main squad at the WWE Royal Rumble 2019 and took part in the women's Royal Rumble with starting number 24. She was able to eliminate Kacy Catanzaro , Ashley Mae Sebera ( Dana Brooke ) and Thea Megan Trinidad ( Zelina Vega ) before she was kicked out by Pamela Rose Martinez ( Bayley ). In 2019, Ripley began a feud with debuting Kimberly Benson ( Piper Niven ), who is now the most dominant female wrestler on the NXT UK roster. On July 3, 2019, Ripley was defeated by her, a rematch was planned on September 4.

NXT and NXT Women's Champion (2019-present)

On August 28, 2019, Rhea Ripley returned to NXT and interrupted Shayna Baszler's speech. Before she could comment, Ripley knocked the microphone out of her hand and said that while she had beaten everyone else on the roster so far, she couldn’t beat herself, signaling the start of a feud between the two. Since then, Ripley defeated several heels on NXT and became increasingly popular with audiences. At the same time, she and Tegan Nox started the invasion of WWE SmackDown on November 1 in the run-up to the WWE Survivor Series 2019 , and they challenged Daria Rae Berenato ( Sonya Deville ) and Amanda Rose Saccomanno ( Mandy Rose ) to a tag team match out that they left as winners. Later that evening, Ripley , Paul Michael Levesque ( Triple H ) and the rest of WWE NXT declared war on WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown and clearly stated their intentions to exit the Survivor Series victoriously. At NXT TakeOver: WarGames , Ripley led her team of herself, Dakota Kai , Candice Gargano ( Candice LeRae ) and Tegan Nox into the women's first WarGames match . Since Kai Nox and himself accidentally threw themselves out of the race, it became a kind of 2-on-4 handicap match for Ripley and LeRae against Baszler's team, consisting of themselves, Bianca Nicole Crawford ( Bianca Belair ), Kayleigh Rae ( Kay Lee Ray ) and Io Shirai , which they still managed to win.

The following night, at the WWE Survivor Series, Ripley was part of Team NXT, which beat both Team Raw and Team SmackDown, as well as captain of their team that won the 5-on-5-on-5 Women's Survivor Series triple -Threat Elimination Match and was also victorious. At the end of the match, Candice LeRae and Io Shirai faced the captain of the SmackDown team, Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado ( Sasha Banks ), and eliminated them.

On December 18, 2019, Rhea Ripley won the NXT Women's Championship against Shayna Baszler at WWE NXT . She is the first female wrestler to hold both the NXT UK Women's Championship and the NXT Women's Championship . She lost the title on April 5 against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36 .
