Zelina Vega (born December 27, 1990 in New York City , New York ) is an American wrestler . She is currently under contract with the WWE and appears regularly on their show Raw .

Wrestling career

First beginnings (2010-2016)

At the age of 17, Trinidad began training with Javi-Air, Azrieal and TJ Perkins . Trinidad made her professional wrestling debut under the ring name Divina Fly, for National Wrestling Superstars (NWS) on February 20, 2010.

On February 20, 2010 she made her debut for Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU) under the ring name Divina Fly. On June 26, 2010, Divina Fly and Niya, known collectively as The Fly Girls, fought for the WSU Tag Team Championships, but lost to reigning champions Cindy Rogers and Jana.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2011-2013)

Trinidad was discovered by Tommy Dreamer . On January 27, it was reported that Trinidad had signed a contract with the league. On February 10th, Trinidad debuted under the ring name Rosita as Sarita's cousin in an Eight Women's Tag Team Match in which the two joined Madison Rayne and Tara, defeating Angelina Love, Mickie James, Velvet Sky and Winter. On March 13th, Rosita and Sarita defeated Love and Winter and won the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship . Rosita and Sarita lost the title on July 12th to Mrs. Tessmacher and Tara while recording the episode of Impact Wrestling.

Free Agent (2011-2017)

At the end of August 2011, Rosita traveled to Mexico to attend an event of the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, for which Sarita regularly worked under the ring name Dark Angel. During Rosita's stay in Mexico, she was trained by the CMLL coaches Arturo Beristain and Tony Salazar and eventually received a contract with the league, which, however, due to the cooperation of TNA, she could not sign with the competing promotion AAA. Just days later, Rosita appeared on the AAA television show Sin Límite promoting a storyline.

On May 14, 2011, Rosita made her in-ring debut for Family Wrestling Entertainment at Meltdown Pay-per-View and lost to Winter with Christy Hemme as Special Guest Referee. On May 6, 2015, Global Force Wrestling (GFW) announced Trinidad as part of their league. She made her PhD debut on June 12, 2015 where she defeated Lei'D Tapa on the first show, the GFW Grand Slam Tour. On August 20, 2015, her profile was removed from the GFW website. On July 17, 2015, Trinidad made her Ring of Honor (ROH) debut, managing Austin Aries .

World Wrestling Entertainment (since 2017)

In June 2017, Trinidad had signed a contract with WWE and started training at the WWE Performance Center . She began appearing on NXT on the June 9th episode where she confronted Andrade Almas about his behavior and beat him. Under the name Zelina Vega, she was appointed manager of Almas, who defeated No Way Jose on August 9th in the NXT episode. On January 28, 2018 at the Royal Rumble, Vega first appeared when she accompanied Almas as number 7 during the Royal Rumble Match. As part of the grouping, Vega made her in-ring debut for NXT during a live event on February 3rd where she teamed up with Almas to be defeated by Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae .

On April 17th, during the Superstar Shake-up, Vega and Almas were both drafted to SmackDown . Vega made her debut for SmackDown on the May 15 episode, accompanying Almas in a match against a local wrestler in which he was victorious. In the July 31st episode of SmackDown, Vega had her first match on SmackDown, defeating Lana . She teamed up with Almas and defeated Lana and Rusev in SummerSlam.

During the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-up, both Zelina and Andrade Raw were drafted. On the July 8th episode of Raw, Vega teamed up with Almas to lose to Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch . Vega assisted Andrade most of the time, helping him keep the WWE United States Championship on several occasions .
