The NM Rothschild and Sons and NM Rothschild & Sons is an international investment bank based in London and the British subsidiary of Bank Rothschild & Co. It is named after its founder Nathan Mayer Rothschild .

history

The company was founded by the Rothschild family in London in 1811 .

Around 1950 the bank needed a new company headquarters and, in the absence of alternatives, built an office building with a steel and glass facade after the old building on New Court in St Swithin's Lane was torn down. Still overcrowded, in 2005 the bank commissioned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and his Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) to build a skyscraper on the previously used property. This has been used by Rothschild since the beginning of 2012.
