The Zimní stadion Na Lapači ( Winter Stadium Na Lapači ) is an ice rink in the Czech city ​​of Vsetín , Okres Vsetín .

history

In 1962 the construction of an open ice rink with a natural ice surface began in Vsetín , which was completed after two years. In 1966 a cooling system was installed so that the stadium could now be used for a longer period of time per year. In 1979 the first construction phase for the construction of an indoor stadium began. The foundations, supporting pillars and steel framework were the first to be built under difficult conditions, as the structure was erected over the original ice surface with a capacity of more than 5000 spectators. The roof was built from 1982 and completed in 1985.

The Zimní stadium was transferred from the former owner, the company ZETEX, to the city of Vsetín on January 1st, 2009 in a desolate state. The cooling system was repaired in the first half of 2009. In the summer of 2009, the stadium was transferred to the municipal operating company Vsetínská sportovní správa, sro . After the 2009/10 ice hockey season, a complete renovation of the technical facilities and the ice rinks was completed. New penalty banks, timekeeper places, nets over the plexiglass board and new ice hockey goals were also installed. In the following summer of 2011, the entire lighting and sound system was renewed. In 2016 the cooling technology was improved again and a new concrete surface was laid. At the same time, a new digital display board was put into operation.

In 2017, work on the changing rooms and sanitary facilities continued.

The ice rink has a capacity of 5400 seats, of which 1700 seats and 3400 standing places. The arena is the home ground of the VHK Vsetín ice hockey team from the 1st division .
