Nader Arasteh

Mirza Nader Arasteh (* 1893 ) was a Persian ambassador .

Life

Nader-Mirza Arasteh was the son of Malek Zadeh Khanoum Molk-Ara and Badi Zaman Mirza Molk-Ara, Mohtashem Hozour. The family name "Molk-Ara" was changed to Arasteh under Reza Shah Pahlavi . Nader Arasteh married Ashraf Saltaneh Meftah and studied in Tehran and Leningrad . He was Consul General in the Soviet Union . In the Iranian Foreign Ministry, he headed the Politics department. From 1925 to 1927 he was accredited as counselor in London and worked as chargé d'affaires. He was a member of a Turkish-Iranian border commission, Deputy Governor of Azerbaijan and Governor General of Khuzestan . Before 1937 he was envoy to Poland , Argentina and was accredited to all governments of South and Central America. From November 4, 1937 to July 11, 1939 he was accredited as ambassador to Berlin . From 1939 he was Governor General in Northern Iran. He repeatedly held various ministerial posts in the Iranian government.

On May 21, 1952, Nader Arasteh was ambassador to Moscow and received a protest note from Andrei Januaryevich Wyschinski against US arms aid for the Mohammad Mossadegh government . Based on a friendship treaty dated February 26, 1921, Josef Stalin tried to limit the extent of the US military presence in Iran.

In 1963 the Soviet-Iranian cultural society was founded in Moscow , where Nader Arasteh sat on the board.
