Mohsen Raïs
Mohsen Raïs ( Persian محسن رئیس; * 1896 ; † in the 20th century ) was a Persian diplomat .
Life
Mohsen Rais studied in Tehran and Geneva . In 1931 he became chargé d'affaires in Paris. He then headed the League of Nations and Treaties Department in the Foreign Ministry. From 1935 to 1938 he was envoy to the Netherlands and the German Reich. In 1938 he headed the Department of Politics in the Foreign Ministry and was the acting Persian Foreign Minister . In this capacity, he discussed the resumption of diplomatic relations between the US governments and Reza Shah Pahlavi with Wallace Murray .
In 1939 he was envoy to the Balkans and in 1941 to the Vichy regime . 1942 head of the Iranian telephone authority. Ambassador to Baghdad from 1943 to 1947 . From 1947 to 1951 he was ambassador in London and was then installed as acting foreign minister in Tehran .
On November 10, 1953, in Paris, he presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
