The Nadezhda Street ( Russian Пролив Надежды ) is a strait between the two Kuril Islands Matua in the north and Rasshua in the south. It connects the Sea of Okhotsk with the Pacific Ocean . Its width is 28 km. It was named after the Russian trade frigate Nadezhda .
