Nadeschda Wladimirowna Schunjajewa ( Russian: Надежда Владимировна Шуняева , scientific transliteration Nadežda Šunjaeva ; born November 11, 1993 in Angarsk , Irkutsk Oblast ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Schunjajewa has been taking part in the Eastern Europe Cup since 2009 . So far she has achieved six top ten placements. She had her first successes at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2012 in Erzurum . There she won bronze in the skiathlon and gold in the relay. The following year, she won the silver medal in the skiathlon and with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec . She ran her first World Cup race in December 2013 in Davos , which she finished in 43rd place over 15 km freestyle. In the 2014/15 season she achieved her first World Cup points in Rybinsk with 27th place in the skiathlon.
