Career

Nadine Wallner grew up in Klösterle am Arlberg and started skiing as a 3-year-old. Wallner's father works as a mountain guide, so she was able to gain experience in open terrain as a child.

After a training fall on New Year's Day 2004, her spleen had to be removed and she ended her future alpine career at the age of 16. After Wallner completed training as a ski instructor and ski guide at the academy in St. Christoph am Arlberg , she turned to freeride applications in 2011.

World title freeriding 2014

In 2014 she was able to successfully defend her title at the Fieberbrunn event, which was relocated to Kappl due to the weather , and was world champion in freeriding for a second time.

In April 2014, the 24-year-old suffered open fractures in her left shin and fibula when she fell while filming a film in Alaska and had to skip the following season of the Freeride World Tour .

After a two-year hiatus that she needed to recover from her injury, she returned to the FWT in the 2016 season.
