Nadir Mandioni

Nadir Mandioni (born May 2, 1974 in Ticino ) is a former Swiss ice hockey referee .

Life

Mandioni grew up in the city of Kloten and played ice hockey for the EHC Kloten as a child . He learned the profession of electronics engineer at the local airline Swissair and graduated from the engineering school in Rapperswil as a qualified electrical engineer HTL. From 1998 to 2006 he worked for the IMV Group, which has been part of GE Consumer & Industrial since 2001 . After a break in which Mandioni worked as a professional arbitrator, he worked for the energy service group Axpo for three years . In 2011 he became managing director of Newave Energy AG (part of ABB since 2012 ), which, like IMV, specializes in UPS systems.

Mandioni is married with two children and lives in Winkel .

Athletic career

Nadir Mandioni directed his first games as a referee in 1990 when he started his career in amateur leagues. In 1994 he was appointed to the Swiss National League A for the first time , where he was employed as a linesman for the first seven years and as the main referee from 2000. In 2006 he signed a professional contract with the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation and gave up his job as an electrical engineer, but returned to work two years later.

Nadir Mandioni was assigned as a referee at some international tournaments. He directed games at the 1999 and 2000 World Championships as well as the U20 / U18 World Championships in 1999, 2000, 2006 and 2007.

He directed his last games in the National League A 2016/17.
