Nadja Stavenhagen (born September 8, 1969 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist . She heads the Academy for Journalism in Hamburg .

Life

Nadja Stavenhagen studied theology , Latin and educational sciences at the University of Hamburg . As a schoolboy and student, she worked as a journalist for various media. In the mid-1990s, after completing her studies, she started working as an online journalist in the new digital area at Gruner + Jahr . In 1997 she became the editor-in-chief of the general interest program TV Today Network. Starting in 2000, she built up the digital offerings of the Schöner Wohnen group from Gruner + Jahr, which she headed for ten years as editor-in-chief and managing director.

In 2012 she took on the newly created position of Head of Editing and Business Development for the digital products of the GEO Group. In addition to her work at the publishing house, Stavenhagen gave seminars on online conception and journalism, among others at the Academy for Journalism and the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg , and did a two-year training course as a systemic organizational consultant.

Stavenhagen has headed the Academy for Journalism since 2014 . There she is responsible, among other things, for the seminar program, the management, the strategic and content-related orientation as well as for cooperation.

Stavenhagen is a member of the jury of the Erich Klabunde Prize, the Schleswig-Holstein Journalist Prize and advisory board member of the reporter factory .
