Headquarters of Nafarroa Bai in Pamplona

Nafarroa Bai (NaBai, Basque for Yes to Navarre ) also known as Formación Navarra , was an alliance of Basque Country- oriented parties in the Spanish Autonomous Community of Navarre . The member parties Aralar and EAJ / PNV were more or less oriented towards Basque nationalism. In addition, numerous politically left-wing individuals from Navarre belong to the alliance. Eusko Alkartasuna and Batzarre were founding members, but left the alliance in spring 2011.

The first goal in founding this formation was to get one of the seats for Navarre in the House of Representatives of the Cortes for the member parties and individual members in the Spanish parliamentary elections in 2004 , which was successful. Nafarroa Bai's electoral lists did not include members of the parties mentioned, only independent candidates. The top candidate Uxue Barkos , a former television journalist for Basque television , is now sitting for the group in the Spanish parliament. She was able to defend her mandate in the general election in Spain in 2008 , in which the party received 62,073 votes, corresponding to 18.53% in Navarre and 0.24% in all of Spain .

In the regional elections in 2007, the party received 23.7% of the vote and 12 seats in the Parliament of Navarre, establishing itself as the second force behind Unión del Pueblo Navarro , the regional sister party of the PP (42.2%).
