Naitō Katsutoshi
Naitō Katsutoshi ( Japanese.内藤 克 俊; * February 25, 1895 ; † September 27, 1969 ) was a Japanese wrestler and judo fighter and bronze medalist at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in freestyle wrestling in featherweight.
Life
Katsutoshi Naito is from Hiroshima . He worked there as a judo fighter and went in 1922 to study agriculture at the Pennsylvania State University in the United States. At this university he also learned freestyle wrestling and represented Japan at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris. There he won the bronze medal in the featherweight division with four wins.
After these Olympics, Katsutoshi Naito continued to work as a wrestler and judo fighter at Pennsylvania State University and then went to Brazil in 1929 . In Brazil he became the founder of the judo sport there.
