The Nalumasortoq ( German  White Wall ) is a 2045  m high mountain in the south of Greenland .

The Nalumasortoq is located east of the Tasermiut Fjord in the municipal area of the city of Nanortalik . It forms the end of a valley that branches off from this fjord to the east between the mountains Ulamertorsuaq and Ketil . At 2045  m , it is the highest mountain in its group.

Due to its steep rock faces, the Nalumasortoq is not glaciated in its higher elevations. Below 1600  m , however, several glaciers flow from the slopes of the mountain in the east, northwest and southwest. The rock massif of the Nalumasortoq is heavily furrowed and has several steep ridges, secondary peaks and deep gorges. Particularly characteristic is the up to 1000 meter high west wall, which is divided into three pillars and is popular with climbers .

In 1974 Nalumasortoq was first climbed via the south-east face, followed in 1975 by a route over the south face. Today, especially the west wall is a target of Bigwall -Kletterern. The most famous route, Non c'è Due Senza Tre ( 6c / A3 ) on the right pillar, was first climbed in 2000 by an Italian rope team; In 2002 this path was cleared for the first time . However, there are at least eleven other climbs , most of them extremely difficult and only manageable with technical climbing .
