Namdzong Jomo Gön ( Tib . : gnam rdzong jo mo'i dgon ) is the largest nunnery of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism ( Vajrayana ) in central Amdo. According to tradition, it was founded during the Mongol dynasty . It was built by Dzogchen Pema Rigdzin ( rdzogs chen pad ma rig 'dzin ), one of the most famous trulkus of the Nyingma school of central Amdo in the 17th century. The abbot is Gurong Tshang ( dgu rong tshang ) Rinpoche, who is also the Achung Namdzong monasterydirects. It is currently run by the Gujiasai Rinpoche.

The nunnery is located in the Namdzong Valley north of the Achung Namdzong Monastery in the Achung Namdzong area in the municipality of Khamra ( khams ra ) in Jainca County (Centsha) in the east of the Chinese province of Qinghai , which is part of the administrative area of ​​the Huangnan Autonomous District of the Tibetans heard.
