The artistic work

The artistic work of Nana Nauwald has been shown in exhibitions and conferences worldwide: Switzerland, USA, France, the Netherlands, Romania. Many of her paintings have been featured as covers in book publications, books and magazines.

She sees her artistic work as "visionary color song", which she depicts through finely worked, color-intensive visions painted on black canvas. Her painting is determined by the question of the basic information of all life, which is why her paintings are often shaped by microcosmic structures.

The literary work

Her literary work is based on her experiences with traditional shamans in South America and Asia and her own ethnological research with indigenous communities. Her decades of work with people in seminars and research into European, cultural and historical sources of shamanism form the basis of her non-fiction books.
