Nantawat Thaensopa ( Thai : นันท วั ฒ น์ แทน โสภา , born February 22, 1984 in Maha Sarakham ) is a Thai football player who plays in the Thai Premier League for Police United .

Career

He started his career with his youth club, the FC Royal Thai Police . He played for the club until 2007 and rose with him to the Premier League in 2006. In 2007 he moved to FC Krung Thai Bank . Nantawat was runner-up with the club in 2007 and played in the AFC Champions League in 2008 . At the end of the Champions League season, Nantawat was the top scorer. No player from Thailand has achieved this before. In total, he scored 9 goals in this competition. He scored four of his goals in the group game against Beijing Guoan . Already in the first leg he scored a goal against this club. In the game against ĐPM Nam Định on April 9, 2008, he already managed a hat trick . After Krung Thai Bank stopped playing, the squad was taken over by FC Bangkok Glass . He played for the club for another year before moving to his old club and newly promoted Police United in 2010.
