Nanthesan
Nanthesan (also Nanthasaen, full throne name Somdet Brhat Chao Anandasena Bungmalaya Chandapuri Sri Sadhana Kanayudha Visudhirattana Rajadhanipuri Rama Lan Xang Krum Klao ; * in the 18th century in Vientiane , † June / July 1795 ibid) 1781-1795 King of the Lao kingdom was Vientiane , one of the successors of Lan Xang .
Life
Nanthesan was the eldest son of King Bunsan (ruled 1767-1779 and 1780-1781) and was educated in the palace. He served as commander of the royal army during the invasion of Siam in 1778/79. After the defeat of Vientiane, Nanthesan was taken to Thonburi as a prisoner . After King Bunsan died on November 28, 1781, the Siamese King Taksin put him on the throne of Vientiane. Nanthesan was crowned in 1782.
Late in 1794, the Siamese attacked Vientiane again, deposed Nanthesan, and took him to Bangkok in January 1795 , where he died in June or July of that year. King Rama I appointed his younger brother Inthavong Setthathirath III to be his successor .
