Naoki Maeda ( Japanese 前 田 直 輝 , Maeda Naoki ; born November 17, 1994 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Naoki Maeda learned to play football in the Tokyo Verdy youth team . Here he signed his first professional contract in 2013. The club from the Tokyo prefecture played in the second highest Japanese league, the J2 League . The first division club Matsumoto Yamaga FC from Matsumoto loaned him for the 2015 season. In the first division he played 31 games. From 2015 he played twice in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. Yokohama F. Marinos , a first division team from Yokohama , signed him in 2016. In 2017 he was with the Marinos in the final of the Emperor's Cup , which they lost 2-1 to Cerezo Osaka . His former club Matsumoto Yamaga FC signed in early 2018. Here he played until mid-2018. In July, he signed a contract with first division promoted Nagoya Grampus from Nagoya .
