Naomi Achternbusch

Naomi Achternbusch (* 1994 in Munich ) is a German actress .

Life

Naomi Achternbusch was born in Munich in 1994 and is the daughter of the writer and film director Herbert Achternbusch . She has five siblings. From 2010 to 2014 she was a member of the youth club of the Munich Kammerspiele . Achternbusch lives in Berlin .

Career

Achternbusch played a small role in the film Picasso in Munich at the age of three . She received her first leading role in The Clap of One Hand in 2002 , which, as in her first film, was directed by her father. In the German drama Blind & Ugly she got her first leading role in adulthood at the side of Tom Lass , who was also responsible for the direction and the script. In the film, which premiered on June 26, 2017 at the Munich Film Festival , she played the supposedly blind school dropout Jona, who falls in love with Ferdi (played by Tom Lass). For her portrayal in Blind & Ugly , she was awarded the German Film Critics' Prize 2017 for best actress in February 2018 .
