Naomi Sheridan (born 1972 or 1973 ) is an American screenwriter .

She is the daughter of director Jim Sheridan and his wife Fran. Her younger sisters are Kirsten and Tess Sheridan. In 1981 the family moved from Dublin to New York City, where they stayed for seven years. For a while they lived in Hell's Kitchen , which at one time had problems with drug dealers and prostitution. Sheridan married longtime boyfriend Mark Little in June 2012.

Naomie, along with her father and 16-year-old sister Kirsten, wrote the screenplay for In America at 19 , the story of which is in part based on her own experiences after moving to the United States. For this they were nominated at the Academy Awards 2004 in the category Best Original Screenplay, but did not win.

In September 2014 it was announced that Fox TV Studios would be producing the film as a series for HBO , with Naomi and Kirsten as executive producers, while their father would star.

The script was published as a book together with the biographies of the authors and actors in 2003 ( ISBN 978-1-557-04618-5 ).
