Fools guild Überlingen
The Narrenzunft Überlingen eV (NZÜ) is a fool's guild and is run as a cultural association in terms of its statutes. The task as a non-profit , registered association is to preserve the centuries-old traditions and to organize the carnival in Überlingen . The preamble to the guild statute reads: The Narrenzunft Überlingen eV has the task of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural assets of the Alemannic culture, especially the Überlingen Carnival, in accordance with centuries-old traditions, anchoring them in the consciousness of the population and preserving them for posterity .
organization
The Hänselezunft Überlingen (HZÜ) as a subdivision and the carpenter's guild are integrated into the fools' guild. The board consists of: 1. the mother of fools , who represents the Überlingen foolish guild. 2. the fool father in a deputy function. 3. the bag master and 4. the fool writer. The entire board includes: head of the fool's concert, head of street carnival, press council, guild master and Hansel father.
history
As early as 1430, the council minutes of the city of Überlingen stated that drummers and Pfeiffer received money for playing at Carnival. In 1496, also in the council minutes of the formerly free imperial city of Überlingen, a seven-point carnival order can be found. The fools guild in its current form was founded in 1921 and emerged from the Frohsinn Society, which was founded in 1863. She was a member of the Association of Swabian-Alemannic Fools Guilds , from which she resigned in 1953 because of disputes over the preservation of carnival traditions together with the fools guilds from Elzach and Rottweil . In 1954 the Hänselezunft Überlingen (HZÜ) was founded as a department of the fools' guild Überlingen. Since 1963 the guilds from Rottweil , Elzach , Oberndorf and Überlingen have formed the Alliance of Four .
Course of the Überlinger Fasnet
The first parade of the Überlinger Fasnet is the lantern parade on November 11th. The jump takes place on January 6th. Further highlights are the fool's tree setting on Schmotzigen Thursday , the Hänselejuck on Carnival Saturday , the big parade on Carnival Sunday and the shirt gloncker parade on Carnival Monday .
Figures of the Überlinger Fasnet
The main character of the Überlinger Fasnet is the Überlinger Hänsele. The Hansele is a so-called Blätzlenarr. His fool's hat consists of a cap with a red fox tail, a linen suit with felt cookies cut into strips sewn onto it. Three rows of black stripes are interrupted by a number of colored stripes in the color sequence red-green-yellow-blue. Hansele wears white gloves, a white handkerchief, black stockings, black shoes and a carbine . Three or four bells are attached to each other on the left and right outside of the pants. The Hänselebrunnen in Überlingen reminds of this carnival figure throughout the year.
Other fool figures are the fool parents, the Hansel father, the fool councilors, the guild journeyman and the fool policemen.
Other fools' clubs in Überlingen
The “Alte Wieber” carnival group was founded in 1983 and registered as an association in 1992.
On November 11, 1995, the fool's association “Der Überlinger Löwe” was founded as an association for women only. He was entered in the register of associations on October 24, 2001.
The youngest fool association in Überlingen are the "Altwieberich Überlingen eV", which has existed since 1999.
