Nataša Gollová (born February 27, 1912 as Nataša Hodáčová in Brno , Austria-Hungary , † October 29, 1988 in Prague ) was a Czech actress .

Life

Nataša Gollová was the daughter of the Czech lawyer, politician and publicist František Hodáč. She later chose her stage name after the surname of her grandfather, the historian Jaroslav Goll. After graduating from high school, Nataša Gollová first attended the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University in Prague , which she left without a degree. She was more interested in the theater and ballet. She took private acting lessons and played on the stages in Olomouc and Bratislava and from 1935 in Prague .

Her first film role, an extra role without a fee, she received in 1932 in the film The ideal teacher ( Cantor Idéal ). After a few other relatively insignificant roles, she achieved her breakthrough in 1939 with the role of Jiřina in the film Příklady táhnou (director: Miroslav Cikán). Nataša Gollová became a film star of the first Czechoslovak Republic through the portrayal of Eva Norová in the screwball comedy Eva Does Stupid, directed by Martin Frič in the same year. In the next few years she remained subscribed to the comedy subject and played together with her film partner Oldřich Nový in Kristián (1939), Hotel Blaue Stern ( Hotel Modrá hvězda , 1941) or A nice person ( Roztomilý člověk , 1941). In 1944 the actress worked under the pseudonym Ada Goll in the German production Komm zu mir zurück (Director: Heinz Paul).

After the Second World War, the communist rulers banned Nataša Gollová from practicing her profession, she was only allowed to perform again in the 1950s and won over in 1951 in the historical comedy The Emperor and His Baker ( Císařův pekař - Pekařův císař ) directed by Martin Frič. From the 1960s onwards, Nataša Gollová played primarily in television films and series, in 1974 she was seen again on the big screen as an older lady in Die teuren Tanten und ich ( Drahé tety a já ). Nataša Gollová had her last television appearance in the third episode of the television series Sanitka in 1984. The actress died on October 29, 1988 in a nursing home in Prague.
