Natalia González Figueroa (* 1979 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine pianist.

Life

González had music lessons from Reyna Gerstell from the age of seven . From 1989 she studied piano with Laly Escobar at the Carlos López Buchardo National Conservatory . She also attended courses and master classes by Antonio de Raco , Albert Atenelle , Boris Petrushansky , Gabor Eckhardt , Alberto Portugheis and Maria Teresa Carunchio . From 2001 to 2004 she studied in Madrid with Gabriel Loidi Lizaso and Pablo Mielgo , attended master classes and courses with Manuel Carra and Ricardo Requejo , Manuel Carra and Antonio Iglesias and took part in the international summer courses Alter Musici in Cartagena with Albert Antenelle . As a participant in the International Bartók's Seminary and Festival 2004, she took lessons from Gabór Ekhardt .

Since her debut at the age of eight, González has performed as a piano soloist in Argentina, Venezuela, Spain, Italy, France and the UK. Later she turned increasingly to chamber music. In Buenos Aires she founded the Duo Kovacz-González (saxophone piano), the Kaunissimo Duo (cello and piano) and the Artemise Quartet . In Madrid she was one of the founders of the Piacevole Chamber Group and performed with the Soto Mesa Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Pablo Mielgo and the Orquesta de Jóvenes Virtuosos de la CAM under the direction of Francisco Estévez .

In 2006 she traveled through Colombia with the conductor Régulo Stabilito , where she performed with various symphony orchestras in eight cities across the country. In 2008 she received a scholarship from the Italian state to study chamber music at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia with Rocco Filippini . With the double bass player Sergio Rivas she founded the duo Rivas / González for contemporary tango, with the soprano Ana Durañona the duo Canto de Latinoamerica . In 2009 she founded the Sonidos Argentinos with the composers Lucio Bruno-Videla and Cristian Axt (whose piano concerto Estampas Argentinas she premiered in the same year) . On her CD Concierto Tango González plays tango-inspired music by contemporary Argentinian composers.
