Natalie Tyler Tran (born July 24, 1986 in Sydney ) is an Australian vlogger , comedian and actress .


Trans parents fled Vietnam to Australia in 1981.

Tran studied teaching for two years with a focus on English and history before switching to digital media at the University of New South Wales and graduating.

Tran gained fame through her YouTube channel communitychannel , on which she uploaded her first video on September 25, 2006 and celebrated her 10th YouTube anniversary in 2016. She has now uploaded over 400 videos here, which have been viewed over 590 million times. The channel has approximately 1.9 million subscribers.

Her videos often deal with everyday observations, especially social dilemmas and embarrassing situations, which she usually recreates in a humorous way alone or with individual other actors and also reflects self-ironically. So their videos usually consist of monologues, accompanied by acting in public places and voice-overs . At the end of a video, selected comments that viewers placed under the previously published video are usually shown and commented on in turn.
