Natasha Kanani Janine Kai (born May 22, 1983 in Kahuku , Hawaii ) is an American football player .

Career

society

From 2002 to 2005 Kai studied at the University of Hawaii and played for the college team Hawaii Rainbow Wahine there . In 2002, 2003 and 2005 she was named the best player in the WAC. In total, she scored 73 goals in 72 games.

On September 16, 2008, she moved to Sky Blue FC in the then newly founded Women's Professional Soccer . She played a major role in winning the championship in the 2009 season. In the 2011 season, Kai played for Philadelphia Independence , and the WPS was subsequently disbanded after only three seasons.

In early 2013 Kai was briefly part of the Washington Spirit squad in the newly founded National Women's Soccer League , but did not play a league game. In January 2016, after a career break of several years, she signed with the NWSL franchise of Sky Blue FC , where she was active until the end of the 2017 season.

National team

Kai was a member of the US national team from 2006 to 2011 and took part with them victoriously in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .
