Natasha Liu Bordizzo ( Chinese  劉承羽 , Pinyin Liú Chéngyǔ ; born August 25, 1994 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian actress and model . In the beginning she mostly used the cliché of an Asian woman in Western countries in her films . Since 2019 she has played one of the leading roles in Netflix Original The Society .

Life

Bordizzo is the daughter of an Italian and a Chinese . She attended Girls High School in her hometown, a girls' school, and then began studying for a Bachelor of Communication and Bachelor of Law at the University of Technology, Sydney . She is the holder of the 1st Dan in Taekwondo . This knowledge helped her in 2016 in her role in the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny , which is about martial arts.

In the following years she was cast in films such as Greatest Showman , Detective Chinatown II or Hotel Mumbai , where she mostly played women of Asian origin. In 2019 she appeared in Guns Akimbo alongside Daniel Radcliffe . In the same year she played the role of Helena Wu in the television series The Society .
