Jonas Flöter

Jonas Flöter (* 1967 ) is a German educator and historian .

Flöter studied history, social studies, art history and cultural studies at the universities of Leipzig , Klagenfurt and Vienna . In 2001 he received his doctorate in Leipzig, and in 2007 he completed his habilitation there. From 2012 to 2020 he was a teacher at the Domgymnasium Naumburg for the subjects of history and social studies. In 2020 he was appointed to a professorship for general educational science at the University of Leipzig.

Flöter's research focuses on constitutional and political history, the cultural and social history of education, foundation research, and university history from the 18th to the 20th century.
