Nathalie Larsson (born May 25, 1984 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish sports shooter . She starts in the skeet discipline for Lövstabruk JSK .

Career

Nathalie Larsson grew up in Uppland , where she only started shooting in 1999. But just three years later she represented her home country for the first time in an international competition. She won her first national skeet championship in 2004; She repeated the success in 2006 and 2007.

In 2005 the right-hander became European Champion in Belgrade at the age of 21 . With further top placements in World Cup competitions, she established herself among the world's best. In July 2008 she was behind the Slovak Danka Barteková second at the European Championships in Nicosia . She made her debut at the Summer Olympics shortly afterwards in Beijing . She reached the final there, but narrowly missed the jump-off for the medal places and was fourth with 92 targets hit. One year later, in 2009, she became European champion for the second time in Osijek, Croatia .

Nathalie Larsson is a passionate hunter and tries, in cooperation with the Swedish Hunting Association ( Jägareförbundet ), one of their sponsors , to get young people enthusiastic about sport shooting.
