The Yavoriv National Park ( Ukrainian Яворівський національний природний парк Jaworiwskyj nazionalnyj pryrodnyj park ) is a National Park in the west of Ukraine .

The national park is located in the Jaworiw Raion of the Lviv Oblast in the eastern, Ukrainian part of the Roztocze Hill Country (Ukrainian Розточчя Rostotschtschja ).
The crescent-shaped area of the park between the villages Wereschtschyzja ( Верещиця ) and Krekhiv ( Крехів ) has a total area of 7108 hectares. The area of the nature reserve is 661.6 hectares.
The highest point in the park is the Bulawa (Ukrainian Булава , Polish Buława ⊙ ) with a height of 397 m .
description
The national park established on July 4, 1998 is characterized by almost extensive forest areas, numerous streams and lakes. The forest consists mainly of oak, hornbeam and pine, but there are also areas with beech, fir and sycamore maple. In total, the flora of the park comprises around 700 species of higher plants. The fauna of the national park consists of 289 different species, 34 of which are endangered in Ukraine. Among other things, wild boar , brown hare , European deer , fox and raccoon dog can be found in the park and, less frequently, black stork , otter , ermine , elk and red deer .
In the park and its surroundings there are a large number of historical and cultural sites, several museums and numerous sacred buildings. In the south the park borders on the Rostochschja Biosphere Reserve .
