The Sajama National Park is a national park in the Oruro Department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia . It is on the border with Chile .
Its area is 1002 km² and it is located at an altitude of 4200 to 6542 meters above sea level. The temperature averages 10 ° C during the day and 0 ° C at night. The annual rainfall is 300 mm.

The park is located in the Cordillera Occidental and has a volcanic landscape. There are also the Sajama , Parinacota and Pomerape volcanoes . There are also thermal springs and geysers in the national park .

108 species of animals are registered in the park, including vicuna , lesser bristle armadillo , Andean or mountain cat , Darwin's rhea , Andean condor , giant coot, and smaller birds such as the giant pointed beak , the white-throated Sierra finch ( Phrygilus erythronotus ) and the bush tyrant ( Polioxolmis rufipenni ).
