Zernez National Park House

The Zernez National Park Center is a building in the Lower Engadine municipality of Zernez and forms the heart of the National Park Center ( Rhaeto-Romanic in the idiom Vallader Center dal parc naziunal ).

The cubic , monolithic building on the Ofenpassstrasse was planned since 2002 and built by the architect Valerio Olgiati until 2008 .

The house was opened on May 31, 2008 by the Swiss Federal Councilor Moritz Leuenberger . It houses the visitor center of the Swiss National Park and as a natural history museum offers permanent exhibitions on the flora and fauna of the region spread over three floors .
