content

The book consists of 48 short and long poems, most of which do not rhyme with verse.

The poems are written from the perspective of a child who is concerned about his family and his feelings. The book also reports on everyday experiences that have a special meaning for the child. Friends and the relationship with them are also mentioned towards the end. The child talks about his fears, such as being abandoned and being alone. This is reinforced by the mother's separation from the father at the end of the book.
