The Gneiss Boulder natural monument is located in the Kühbruck parcel in the market town of Nenzing im Walgau , Vorarlberg , Austria . The gneiss boulders are erratic blocks of rock ( gneiss ) which do not occur naturally in the Gamperdonatal .

The Kühbruck plot and the gneiss boulders are located directly on the Gamperdonaweg at around 938  m above sea level. A.

Boulder

The gneiss boulders are the most striking boulders in the area. It is assumed that this is the course of the Würm from Illgletscher from the Montafon were transported here. The gneiss boulders are accordingly ground and rounded off by the transport in the glacier. Some of the largest gneiss boulder found here are protected as a natural monument.
