description
The attraction of the nature park lies in the high density of fruit trees. In addition to the production of must , the fruit trees in the Schlier area , which is very prone to landslides, are also of great importance due to their slope stabilizing effect. The orchards offer by combining trees and meadows habitat for a very wide variety of animal species. Many rare or endangered insects and birds depend on this ecological niche.
The aim of the nature park is to secure the natural area with its orchards, rows and alleys through sustainable use in its diversity and beauty and to preserve the cultural landscape that has been shaped by centuries.
