Alepu Nature Reserve

The nature reserve Alepu ( Bulgarian Алепу ) includes the lagoon of the same name and its surrounding area ( marshland ) as well as the sand dunes on the immediate Black Sea coast . It is located about 6.5 km south of Sozopol , near the Djuni holiday resort .

In 1986 the lake was declared a nature reserve and was included in the Ramsar list as part of the Ropotamo Nature Conservation Complex . The nature reserve covers an area of ​​166.7 hectares .
