Djuni (Дюни, "dunes"; also Duni , Dyuni or Dyunite ) is a vacation resort on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast , 40 km south of the city of Burgas and 7 km south of Sozopol . Construction of the resort began in 1986 by the Austrian company Rogner Bau und Touristik GmbH , as part of a Bulgarian project.
Djuni Royal Resort
Djuni mainly consists of the "Djuni Royal Resort". This includes five hotels:
- Holiday Village (construction: 1986)
- Pelican Hotel (built in 1989)
- Belleville Hotel (construction: 2003)
- Marina Royal Palace (construction: 2004)
- Marina Beach Hotel (construction: 2007)
The beach is 4–5 km long and 100 m wide. The resort borders the Alepu Nature Reserve , which is part of the Strandscha Nature Park. However, not the entire beach is part of the holiday resort. The bay is particularly popular with windsurfers . The resort also has several pools and tennis courts.
